Actually this specimen comes from a brand new locality in Rapid Creek area – Mt Seafoam. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the finest come from this locality. Lazulite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic, deep indigo blue color measuring up to 4mm. The most amazing aspect is the gemminess of the crystals – they are transparent with marvelous and saturated blue-green colors. Some brown Siderite and transparent white Quartz crystals add a nice accent. In superb condition – some small nicks and outside edges contacts. Magnificent gem Lazulite!
